OnePlus Pad Go Review: Affordable, Stylish, And Quite Ordinary
The OnePlus Pad Go is also affordable, making it a great option for those on a tight budget. Should you buy the OnePlus Pad Go? Keep reading my review to help with your decision.
The OnePlus Pad Go is the company's first attempt at a budget-friendly tablet, borrowing from the form factor and specifications of the previously released OnePlus Pad. On most fronts, the Tab will keep the average Indian user happy with its large, vibrant display, a lasting battery, and decent performance. The OnePlus Pad Go is also affordable, making it a great option for those on a tight budget. Should you buy the OnePlus Pad Go? Keep reading my review to help with your decision.
Design and Display
The OnePlus Pad Go has a simple and understated design, built with the same aesthetic goal in mind as the pricier OnePlus Pad. The sleek design of the OnePlus Pad Go with its dual-tone back design makes it a beautiful device to look at and to hold. At the back, the tab has a glossy top, while the lower part is made of aluminium alloy - the former being a fingerprint magnet. The tablet doesn't feel "cheap" in the hands and is also very thin and light (532 grams), making it easy to hold and use for long periods of time. Its dimensions are 255.1 x 188 x 6.9mm.

Just like the OnePlus Pad, the OnePlus Pad Go feels like it was designed to be primarily used horizontally - with volume buttons on the top and power button on the left side. The tablet also has quad speakers, two each on both ends - and Dolby Atmos support. There's a USB-C port for charging on the OnePlus Pad Go.
The OnePlus Pad Go has a 11.3-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2408 x 1720 pixels and 90Hz refresh rate. The display is sharp and vibrant, with good contrast and viewing angles, even though its not an AMOLED panel. It's also bright enough to use outdoors, even on sunny days - with 400 nits of brightness. I just wish OnePlus had made the Pad Go compatible with OnePlus Pad's accessories.
Performance and Battery Life
The OnePlus Pad Go is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 processor and runs Android 13 (Oxygen OS 13.2). This is a mid-range processor, but it's powerful enough for most everyday tasks, such as browsing the web, checking email, watching videos, and playing light games. The Pad Go comes in two variants - 8GB RAM and 64GB of storage, and 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage, with the option to extend storage by 1TB - but that will definitely make the tab slower. For OnePlus users, there's seamless connectivity on the cards if you buy the tablet.

The Pad Go has a large 8000mAh battery with support for 33W fast-charging. This battery will easily last you more than a full day of use with heavy usage, and even two days with light browsing and streaming.
Camera
This is not a camera tablet. The OnePlus Pad Go has an 8MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. The rear camera is good enough for taking casual photos and videos, but it's not going to wow anybody. The front-facing camera is also satisfactory for video calls, but it's not the best for selfies. In short, this tablet is not a camera powerhouse.
Verdict
The OnePlus Pad Go is a great budget-friendly tablet. It has a large, vibrant display, an above average battery, and decent performance. It's also priced reasonably - ?19,999 (8GB RAM + 128GB Wi-Fi variant), ?21,999 (8GB RAM + 128GB storage LTE variant), and ?23,999 (8GB RAM + 256GB storage LTE variant).
