Guy Captures Rare Pic Of The Moon With Saturn-Like Rings, And It Looks Truly Majestic
The image that you see on top isn¡¯t Saturn, which has come in close proximity to our planet, but it infact is the moon, hiding between a cloud formation that is making the moon possess rings like the second-largest planet in our solar system.
When we look into the night sky, we presume that a large celestial object is going to be shining brightly, hiding itself in the clouds -- a full circle if we are lucky. However, a photographer has now managed to show us the neighbouring celestial object in an avatar that¡¯s truly out of the ordinary.
The image that you see on top isn¡¯t Saturn, which has come in close proximity to our planet, but it in fact is the moon, hiding between a cloud formation that is making the moon possess rings like the second-largest planet in our solar system.
The moment was captured by photographer Francisco Sojuel after completing a six-mile hike to the base camp of volcano Acetenango in Guatemala.
Sojuel, who is from Santiago Atitlan, Guatemala, shared his experience with SWNS stating, ¡°This is one of the most beautiful moments that I have managed to capture with the camera,' he said. You can express different feelings when looking at the photograph.¡±
He further added, ¡°It also makes you wake up your imagination because it seems like another planet and makes you question how the moon and that thin cloud managed to align itself.¡±
What¡¯s more, is that NASA spotted this very photo and shared it on its ¡®Astronomy Picture of the Day¡¯ website, where more people experienced the beauty of our nature.
NASA wrote while talking about the image, ¡°Why does Saturn appear so big? It doesn't -- what is pictured are foreground clouds on Earth crossing in front of the Moon. The Moon shows a slight crescent phase with most of its surface visible by reflected Earthlight known as ashen glow.¡±
NASA further added, ¡°The Sun directly illuminates the brightly lit lunar crescent from the bottom, which means that the Sun must be below the horizon and so the image was taken before sunrise¡±
This beautiful image is just the thing we needed to make us feel positive in these dark times.
