2025 US Open tee times: Rory Mcllroy, Scottie Scheffler, Jon Rahm headline day 1 action

The third major event of the golf calendar is here. The 2025 US Open is underway at the iconic Oakmont Country Club and it is one of the toughest tests in golf. As players prepare to battle the narrow fairways and fast greens from Thursday, the USGA has revealed the full list of groupings and tee times for the opening two rounds.

As always, the organisers have given us plenty to look forward to. Major winners, Ryder Cup stars, and rising talents are all paired up in high-profile groups ¡ª and with split tees in play, action will start from both Hole 1 and Hole 10.

In the morning wave, fans will get to see Xander Schauffele, Bryson DeChambeau and Jose Luis Ballester tee off together at 7:29 a.m. ET (4:59 p.m. IST) from Hole 1 bringing the reigning champions of The Open, U.S. Open and U.S. Amateur into one group. Meanwhile, Shane Lowry, Justin Rose and Rory McIlroy will go off from the 10th tee at 7:40 a.m. ET (5:10 p.m. IST) in a calm, all-European grouping.

Later in the afternoon, the world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler begins his quest for a first US Open title. He¡¯s in the same group as Collin Morikawa and Viktor Hovland, with their tee time set for 1:25 p.m. ET (10:55 p.m. IST) off Hole 1. Right before them, three former champions, Jordan Spieth, Jon Rahm, and Dustin Johnson, will start from Hole 10 at 1:14 p.m. ET (10:44 p.m. IST).
