4, 6... and gone! Yuzvendra Chahal ends MS Dhoni's cameo; gets 1st hat-trick of IPL 2025 in Chepauk

It's no secret that the majority of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans are loyal MS Dhoni supporters, so when he came out to bat against Punjab Kings (PBKS), the Chepauk crowd erupted in cheers. Dhoni hit a four in the previous over and followed it up with a six off Yuzvendra Chahal, sending the stadium into a frenzy.

However, Chahal quickly silenced the crowd by dismissing Dhoni on the very next delivery. The CSK skipper walked back after scoring 11 off just 4 balls. But Chahal wasn't done yet ¡ª shortly after, he went on to take the first hat-trick of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.

Chahal saw Deepak Hooda score 2 runs before dismissing him for 2 off 2, then removed impact substitute Anshul Kamboj and Noor Ahmad ¡ª both for ducks ¡ª all in the same over, completing a sensational hat-trick and claiming four wickets in an over. He celebrated the feat with his trademark pose, lying down and striking a playful pose.
