Kapil Sharma, Sugandha Mishra, Rajpal Yadav receive threats via email; FIR filed
Bollywood is on edge as celebrities Kapil Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, Remo D¡¯Souza, and Sugandha Mishra receive chilling threat emails. This follows Saif Ali Khan's recent incident at his house. With serious consequences warned, the industry is abuzz with speculation and concern over the safety of its stars.
Just as fans were processing Saif Ali Khan¡¯s shocking attack at this Bandra house at 2 am recently, Bollywood is now grappling with another bombshell. Comedians Kapil Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, Sugandha Mishra, and choreographer Remo D¡¯Souza have received threatening emails that have set off alarm bells across the industry.
The threat email to Kapil Sharma, Rajpal Yadav, and other stars
The threat mails¡ªwarned of ¡°severe consequences¡± if ignored. Mumbai Police has already swung into action, filing an FIR based on Kapil and Rajpal¡¯s complaints. Sugandha Mishra¡¯s concerns have been registered as a non-cognizable offense, while Remo has also notified authorities. The sender¡¯s email ID, don99284@gmail.com, sounds like something straight out of a Bollywood thriller, but the consequences are anything but fictional.
What happened to Saif Ali Khan?
The drama comes on the heels after Saif Ali Khan (54) was stabbed multiple times by an intruder early Thursday morning at his residence in Bandra. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital around 3 a.m. and underwent a five-hour surgery to remove a knife fragment from his body. After being placed in the ICU, he was discharged on Tuesday afternoon.
Post this attack, Saif's wife and actress Kareena Kapoor released a statement talking about what happened.
The police arrested the suspect, Fakir, in Thane city three days after the incident. Inspector Ajay Lingnurkar has been assigned as the lead investigator. Fakir is currently in custody at either the Bandra or Santacruz police station, where access is tightly restricted, and he receives the same meals as other detainees.
Now, these email threats have amplified the tension, making people wonder if there¡¯s a deeper pattern emerging.
The Bollywood¡¯s situation
The sender even cryptically signed off as ¡°Bishnu,¡± raising eyebrows. While some suggest this might be a nod to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, investigators are digging deeper into the claim.
Last year, in October politicians Baba Siddique was shot dead near his house, and later Salman Khan received various death threats from the gang as well.
And the threats that these recent celebs have received, the tone of the email is menacing yet oddly formal, stating, ¡°We have been monitoring your recent activities. This is not a publicity stunt. Treat this matter with seriousness.¡± The sender demanded a reply within eight hours, failing which, they warned of drastic consequences impacting the stars¡¯ personal and professional lives.
From Saif¡¯s attack drama to these eerie emails, the growing threats against celebrities have sparked panic across Bollywood. With alleged links to Pakistan and cryptic gang names tossed around, is the entertainment industry facing a new wave of targeted attacks? While Mumbai Police continues its investigation, fans are left wondering¡ªwhat¡¯s next for their stars?
