The participating teams in the PSL are Islamabad United (Shadab Khan), Peshawar Zalmi (Babar Azam), Karachi Kings (David Warner), Multan Sultans (Mohammad Rizwan), Lahore Qalandars (Shaheen Shah Afridi), and Quetta Gladiators (Saud Shakeel).

With David Warner absent, Hasan Ali stepped in for the Karachi Kings' captain during the photoshoot. As the PSL kicks off, excitement is high among Pakistani fans. However, the photo quickly gained attention from Indian audiences, sparking trolling¡ªparticularly because of the "loving stare" Hasan Ali gave Babar Azam.
