Good news for Android users! In a rare treat, Apple started making Apple TV Plus available to stream for a free preview weekend since last month. Well, that is believed to be a great move to be at the centre stage; however, finally, Apple has officially launched the Apple TV+ app for Android users on the Google Play Store.
The move to make its offerings available to devices that do not run on the iOS operating system is considered one of the rarest steps taken by Apple, especially when it comes to the Cupertino, California-based tech giant.
Apple TV Plus is finally available on all Android screens
Options for Android users were very few when it came to watching Apple TV Plus, but after a bumpy start, finally, Android users who are interested in watching Apple TV Plus now have options available to them.
Apple has eventually embraced Android on big screens, releasing an Android TV app. However, on mobile devices and tablets, the company has instead boosted subscribers to view through their web browsers.

On the other hand, according to a Bloomberg report, Apple had also spent $20 million per episode to make season two of 'Severance' which premiered in January.
Apple aims to boost its subscribes
Apple TV takes this step amid its originals like 'Silo' obtaining massive popularity, and this may help them grow revenues even more than before.
As per Bloomberg's report, this move by Apple is aimed at boosting its streaming subscribers. This is a part of its 'evolving strategy' to boost the revenue for its services business, as the company is currently undergoing hardware headwinds, mostly from its rivals in China, which is making it a challenge for iPhone sales, as per Business Insider.
Is the offer available in India?
According to an AOL report, it is a marketing strategy to give it some boost in the competitive streaming industry, where its installed base amounted to a tenth of that of Netflix, said Forrester analyst Dipanjan Chatterjee.
Netflix reported over 300 million paid memberships across the world in Q4 2024; while on the other hand, Apple doesn't specifically break revealed numbers. However, there is no report of the offer being available in India yet.
