The world of K-pop has both fans and haters, however, it crosses the line when one tries to harm the artist they seem to not like. On February 3, 2025, the hashtag #BighitProtectBeomgyu (BigHit, protect Beomgyu) surged on X (formerly known as Twitter) as fans voiced concerns over threats directed at TXT's Beomgyu.
The alarming messages, discovered on the fan platform Weverse - the artist-fan app - has sparked widespread calls for enhanced security measures from BigHit Music, TXT's management company. Fans reported encountering graphic and disturbing threats, with users allegedly detailing violent intentions against Beomgyu.

Fans mobilized on social media, demanding that BigHit Music take immediate action to investigate the threats and strengthen security protocols to ensure Beomgyu's safety.
This is not the first time something so dangerous has taken place. In July 2022, both Beomgyu and fellow TXT member Hueningkai received death threats on Weverse ahead of the group's 2022 "TOMORROW X TOGETHER WORLD TOUR
