Bill Clinton joins the Swiftie club! Former US president praises Taylor Swift after attending Eras Tour show

Bill Clinton, the former president of the United States, has joined the Swiftie club. Better late than never! Clinton joined the fandom after he witnessed Taylor Swift's magic at her Eras Tour concert in Toronto, Canada, last weekend. And in his words, he finally gets it now!

Bill Clinton is now a Swiftie!

During Monday's Live with Kelly and Mark episode, Clinton confirmed that he attended a Swift concert at Rogers Stadium, in Canada, admitting he now understands her popularity. He was joined by his wife Hillary Clinton and their 20-year-old granddaughter.

When Kelly Ripa eagerly asked, "Confirm or deny ¡ª did you see Taylor Swift over the weekend?", the 78-year-old enthusiastically responded, "I did. I did." Kelly came bearing proof in case the former president had denied it as a clip of Clinton shaking it off as Taylor belted her iconic hit You Belong With Me soon played on the screen.

The former US president 'gets it now'

Bill Clinton explained that it was his first time watching Taylor Swift perform live, and he was a changed man after he left the concert. He added that he now gets the buzz surrounding her and why young girls are 'so captivated' by her music.

"I get it now," he said before adding, "I understand why she has such an impact on people and why a lot of these young girls are so captivated."

She's not like a lot of people who do concerts: Clinton

It's no secret that Taylor Swift is a force to be reckoned with in the music industry, and acknowledging the same, the former president couldn't stop singing her praises, marvelling at her stamina and dedication to her fans. He was also blown away by her ability to perform for three hours straight, showing her respect for the audience.

Clinton further gushed over Swift, saying, "She's not like a lot of people who do concerts," he said. "She did three hours-plus straight. I mean, straight through! She just kept on singing the songs and kept on doing it, which I think is a very respectful thing to do for the audience."

"I was fascinated watching our crowd of kids, especially my granddaughter, standing there with the wife of one of Chelsea's friends from 20-plus years ago and her daughters," Clinton shared. "All of them up there singing, and they all knew the words to all the songs."

Taylor Swift's Eras Tour is coming to an end!

Taylor Swift's groundbreaking Eras Tour is coming to an end after taking the world by storm for almost 18 months. As the 14-time Grammy winner prepares for her last in Vancouver next month on December 6-8, she became emotional during her performance in Toronto on Saturday.

The TTPD hitmaker said, "And to my band and to my crew and everybody who has put so much into this tour... and I don't even know what I'm saying, I'm just having a bit of a moment, sorry," as she wiped her tears.
