All roads lead to Coldplay gig! BookMyShow Live ties up with Indian Railways for exclusive train for fans in Mumbai

After managing to bag a concert ticket, the next worry is getting to the venue hassle-free as roads are usually packed with throngs of fans heading towards the same location. Imagine missing the concert even after having a ticket by getting stuck in traffic. Frustrating right? But worry not, Coldplay fans who are gearing up for the band's Mumbai concert won't face this problem.
In good news for all the Coldplay fans, BookMyShow Live, the live entertainment experiential division of BookMyShow, has once again joined forces with the Indian Railways to launch a dedicated local train service for the Mumbai leg of Coldplay¡¯s Music of the Spheres World Tour in India.
This exclusive train will operate through Coldplay¡¯s much-awaited shows on January 18th, 19th and 21st, 2025 offering fans a hassle-free and eco-friendly way to get to the venue at D.Y. Patil Sports Stadium, Navi Mumbai.
How much will the exclusive train cost?
The special train will connect the western, central, and harbour lines that run between Goregaon and Nerul, stopping at significant areas such as Andheri, Bandra, Chembur, and Jui Nagar on both the outward and return excursions.
This service, offered exclusively on BookMyShow costs only Rs. 500/- for a two-way ticket and provides a hassle-free way for fans to travel while connecting with other music aficionados on the way.
If you are a large group of friends commuting together to the musical night the booking company has also partnered with Cityflo, allowing fans to book private buses from Goregaon, South Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Thane using their app.
BookMyShow previously partnered with Indian Railways in 2019 during the U2: Joshua Tree Tour at D.Y. Patil Sports Stadium in 2019.

By partnering with Indian Railways and extending the convenience through Cityflo, we are ensuring a seamless and exciting journey for Coldplay fans," BookMyShow said in a statement.
Traffic restrictions imposed in Navi Mumbai
Navi Mumbai traffic officials have stated specific rules to be followed to ensure the smooth flow and safety of all attendees during the event at Dr. D.Y. Patil Stadium in Nerul on January 18, 19, and 21. Tirupati Kakade, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), has issued an order under the Motor Vehicles Act's Sections 115, 116(1)(a)(b), and 117.
Heavy vehicles are not permitted in the city on these precise dates, according to the regulation. Aside from that, all heavy and goods-carrying trucks have been prohibited from entering, travelling, or parking on any highways under the authority of the Navi Mumbai Police Commissionerate.
However, cars transporting critical commodities, fire departments, ambulances, and government vehicles will be excluded from these limitations, which will be in effect from 2 p.m. to 12 a.m. on January 18, 19, and 21, respectively.
Additional tickets released
On Saturday, the ticketing portal announced the release of extra tickets for events at Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium on January 18, 19, and 21. It was announced via Instagram. The fresh batch of tickets will be available only through the BookMyShow app beginning January 11 at 4 p.m. IST.

This is Coldplay's first performance in India since 2016. In addition to the Mumbai gigs, Coldplay will perform at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium on January 25 and 26, 2025.
Previously, the band was scheduled to perform only one gig in the city. However, a second show was added owing to "unprecedented demand" from the audience.
