This means a highly anticipated OT7 reunion can happen anytime after June 2025, when all members would have completed their service. The news has sent the BTS fandom into a frenzy, with ARMYs around the world counting down the days until the septet is whole again.

No idea if South Korea celebrates military anniversaries, but ARMYs have every reason to party! With RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook completing one year of their mandatory service, a BTS reunion is finally within sight, and if that doesn't call for celebrations, then we don't know what does.
BTS members Jimin and Jungkook enlisted in the military on December 12, 2023, while RM, also known as Namjoon, and Kim Taehyung, also known as V, both began their mandatory service on December 11, 2023.
Despite their mandatory service, all the members have put efforts to stay connected with ARMY. Time and again, the members update their fans about their service status and other activities that they undertake. Meanwhile, BTS also emerged as the top most searched K-pop group in South Korea, while Kim Taehyung was the most searched idol, as per Google's year-end report.

In a bittersweet moment, BTS dropped a bombshell on fans during the BTS FIESTA live stream on June 14, 2022, revealing they would be taking a long-term break to focus on their individual activities, which included pursuing solo careers and completing their soldier duties.
At that time, HYBE, BTS' agency, had ensured a BTS reunion in 2025; however, during their Q3 earnings call for 2024, CFO Lee Kyung Joon hinted at a 2026 reunion of the Bangtan boys. While a full-fledged comeback may take more than a year, given making new music will need considerable time, fans can expect a casual reunion anytime after June.

The major development has now invited a tidal wave of feelings among BTS fans who have been waiting for a reunion ever since Jungkook and Jimin enlisted, when all the members last reunited to give them an emotional send-off.
As the reunion countdown has officially reached fever pitch, fans have been overflowing with excitement, nostalgia, and love for the group.

When will RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook be discharged?
RM and V will be discharged from the military on June 10, 2025, while Jungkook and Jimin will likely complete their term on June 11, 2025.
Jin, the first BTS member to enlist in the military, completed his term on June 12, 2024. In October 2024, J-Hope became the second member of the boy band to complete his military enlistment. Meanwhile, Suga is serving in the public sector instead of the military. He began his service on 22, 2023, and is set to be discharged on June 21, 2025.
