BTS member V, also known as Kim Taehyung, recently sat down for an in-depth conversation with SimInvest, where he shared his thoughts on his solo career, friendships, and personal life. As the face of SimInvest since March 2023, V opened up about his experiences as a solo artist and his relationships with his friends. The interview, which was likely recorded before his enlistment, was shared on the brand's official YouTube channel on January 31.
V gets candid about the challenges of a solo career
As the last BTS member to embark on a solo journey, V released his debut album Layover in September 2023 to great success. Despite the album's popularity, V admitted that working solo can be daunting. "When I'm with BTS, I can focus on my part, but when I'm working on a solo project, I have to make decisions on my own. Without the support of the other members, it feels really tough. Even though this is something I want to try, it can feel lonely without their support," he shared.
'I find solace in listening to music'
The Rainy Days singer also talked about the importance of music in his life, saying, "For me, music is comfort. I find solace in listening to music and watching videos. Music has become such a big part of my daily life that I feel like I couldn't live without it."
V opens up about his friendships
In the interview, Taehyung also discussed his approach to friendships, sharing how he manages his close friendships despite juggling a schedule that keeps him on his toes all the time, "To me, a best friend is someone I can share my heart with. If you have to pretend to be someone you're not, that's not a real friendship. I think a best friend is someone who loves and accepts me for who I truly am, without pretenses, and vice versa," he added.
Taehyung shares his most precious talent
The Winter Ahead crooner also revealed an interesting fact about himself, revealing he never loses interest in things that he loves despite growing older. "I think my most precious talent is that I never lose interest in the things I love, even as I grow older. I remain curious and passionate about the things that matter to me," he shared.
