Meanwhile, for Manchester City fans, the derby is not going to be a regular derby match, as the club's captain, Kevin De Bruyne, will play his last Manchester derby on Sunday, April 6, 2025.
On Friday, the 33-year-old midfielder announced his exit from the club this summer. The Belgian footballer decided after a glorious decade at the club, in which he won six Premier League titles and the Champions League titles.
De Bruyne has scored 106 goals and made 174 assists in 413 appearances for Manchester City since he joined the club in 2015.

Kevin De Bruyne's last Manchester derby
After his exit announcement, this is the footballer's last derby, and they now potentially has just nine games remaining to play for the club, starting today with Sunday's clash with Manchester United.
Well, this could be increased to 10 if City beat Nottingham Forest in their FA Cup semi-final. Additionally, there could be another seven if De Bruyne participates in the Club World Cup, which is yet to be decided.

Manchester City's manager Pep Guardiola, in a press conference conducted on Friday, said that he wants De Bruyne's final months to be his glittering City career, which should be a celebration of his achievements.

Guardiola further said, "Still we have nine games, hopefully 10, four at home, that we still can enjoy with our fans."
¡°He will get, I¡¯m pretty sure, the love and the recognition that all of us, the fans, think that he deserves," he added.
