We wouldn't be exaggerating if we told you the 2025 BTS reunion is a much more anticipated event than a rare cosmic sighting. With just 100 days left until all RM and V's discharge, the anticipation is hitting through the roof, and their fans, known as ARMYs, have begun the countdown on social media.

RM and V are to be discharged in 100 days

The wait is almost over for BTS fans as the much-anticipated reunion is just around the corner. In just 100 days, BTS leader RM, also known as Namjoon, and V, whose real name is Kim Taehyung, will be discharged from their mandatory military service. Shortly after, Jimin and Jungkook, who enlisted together, will follow suit in 101 days.

'D-100': Fans begin countdown to RM and V's discharge

Fans of BTS have long been waiting for an OT7 reunion, and it looks like it's not a distant dream now. With just 100 days left to RM and V's discharge, and Jimin and Jungkook following the suit a day later, the Bora world has rejoiced, with ARMYs painting social media purple in anticipation.

Many have taken to X to post anticipatory messages, while others share emotional notes, as they wait for members' discharge with bated breath.

RM joins ARMY's D-100 countdown

ARMYs are not the only ones counting days until BTS' discharge; their leader, Namjoon, who has been keeping fans up with his military updates via Instagram and Weverse, has also joined the countdown. On March 2nd, RM took to his Instagram stories to share a D-100 poster that read, "Mr. Kim Namjoon You have 100 days left until discharge! Keep going; you'll be out in no time!"

About BTS members' military service

During their 2022 FESTA, BTS announced an indefinite hiatus to focus on solo projects, with members subsequently enlisting for mandatory military service. Jin was the first to enlist, followed by J-Hope. Suga, due to a shoulder injury, enlisted as a public service agent. Jimin and Jungkook enlisted together on December 10, 2023, with RM and V reporting to their base the next day, December 11, 2023.

Jin and J-Hope returned home last year after completing their mandatory service. RM and V are expected to be discharged on June 10, 2025, while Jimin and Jungkook will return home on June 11, 2025 after completing their mandatory military service. Suga, meanwhile, is expected to be discharged on June 21, 2025. With RM, Suga, Jimin, V, and Jungkook all completing their mandatory service by this June, a BTS reunion is definitely in sight; however, a comeback has yet to be confirmed.
