Some people are more likely to feel a burning sensation in the chest, especially after eating spicy foods, fatty meals, alcohol, caffeine, and citrus fruits. According to the report, a 74-year-old woman revealed that she suffered awful repercussions whenever she ate or drank anything hot. She sweats profusely on her forehead, and under her breast, drips with perspiration.

The report went on to describe her symptoms¡ªthe woman felt that her blood was on fire; however, it is better during the winter months. The woman had too few blood tests, but nothing highlighted anything. However, later she was diagnosed with a chronic kidney disease.

According to Dr. Zoe Williams, who helps Sun UK readers with their health concerns, if acid reflux occurs more than twice a week, it may be gastro-oesophageal reflux disease. The person experiencing the symptoms may feel bloated or sick, have a bad taste in the mouth, or have smelly breath.

Such a condition is termed 'gustatory sweating.'

But what is gustatory sweating?

This is a condition in which a person may experience excessive sweating while eating, smelling, or sometimes even thinking about food. The condition can affect the face, scalp, neck, and sometimes the chest.

However, gustatory sweating can occur for no reason, or it can be linked to other medical conditions such as diabetes, Parkinson¡¯s, and more.

According to a study published in the current medical issues, gustatory sweating is reported in long-standing diabetes mellitus with associated complications such as neuropathy and nephropathy.
