Dodi Khan refuses to marry Rakhi Sawant but vows to marry her off to his brother: 'Pakistan ki bahu aap zaroor banegi'

After a series of relationships, marriages, and breakups, the 46-year-old recently announced her marriage to Pakistani police officer and actor Dodi Khan. But in a shocking turn of events, Khan has now denied any such plans, stating that he will not be marrying her.

'We will have a love marriage,' says Rakhi

While speaking about him, Rakhi shared with News18, "He is my love. We love each other. He is from Pakistan. I am from India, so we will have a love marriage." (He is my love. We love each other. He is from Pakistan. I am from India, so we will have a love marriage.)

Adding to the buzz, on January 27, Dodi Khan posted a video on Instagram, playfully asking, "Rakhi ji ye bataiye baraat leke India aana hai ya Dubai?" (Rakhi ji, tell me, should I bring the wedding procession to India or Dubai?).

Rakhi responded in the comments with a laughing emoji, further fuelling speculation.

In a conversation with the Times of India, Rakhi revealed details about her wedding and future plans.

She stated that the ceremony would take place in Pakistan following Islamic traditions, while the reception would be hosted in India.

For their honeymoon, she mentioned Switzerland or the Netherlands as potential destinations, and as for their future home, she claimed they planned to settle in Dubai.

Dodi Khan refuses to marry Rakhi Sawant

On Thursday night, Dodi Khan took to Instagram to clarify that he has no plans to marry Rakhi Sawant.

In response, Rakhi reacted with a teary-eyed emoji and several broken-heart emojis in the comments.

In the video, Dodi addressed viewers from both countries, saying, "Hello India and Pakistan, this is Dodi Khan. A few days ago, on social media, you saw a video of mine in which I had proposed Rakhi Sawant. I proposed her because I know her very well."

He added, "When I started knowing her, I felt she is a person who loves god a lot. She has seen a lot of ups and downs in her life, she lost her parents but was with them when they were ill. A guy came in her life, you all know what he did to her. She has come out of a lot of trauma. She accepted Islam, went for Umrah, and changed her name to Fatima. I liked that a lot that's why I proposed to her."

Rakhi Sawant was earlier married to Adil Khan Durrani, but their relationship ended in 2023.

However, he then explained why the marriage won't happen, stating, "But, I think that this is not acceptable to people because I have received a lot of messages and videos, and I cannot tolerate it. So, Rakhi ji, you are my very good friend, and will always be. You might not be able to be my bride, but I promise you that you will become the daughter-in-law of Pakistan. I will make you get married to one of my brothers."
