Dubai's Iconic Burj Khalifa Lights Up With Messages From Gandhi To Mark His Birth Anniversary
The Burj Khalifa in Dubai was lit spectacularly in the colours of tricolour with an image of Mahatma Gandhi and messages from him. More than 120 locations world over join in paying homage to Bapu on #BapuAt150 pictwitter.
To mark the 149th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the world's tallest skyscraper paid a mighty tribute.
The building was lit spectacularly in the colours of tricolour, with an image of Mahatma Gandhi and messages from him.

"Be the change you wish to see in the world," "Non-violence is the virtue of the strong," "Poverty is the worst form of violence", were some of the thought-provoking messages that dotted the screen for 20 minutes.
At the end of it all, a beautiful instrumental version of Mahatma Gandhi's favourite bhajan, Vaishnav Jana To, played in the background and left many overwhelmed.

Navdeep Suri, Indian Ambassador to UAE shared, "Such a joy to see the Burj Khalifa lit up with Gandhiji - visuals, text and music in perfect harmony".
Many other places like Piccadilly Circus, Vienna's Welt Museum, Budapest's Buda Castle, Rome's Palazzo Senatorio also marked the International Day of Nonviolence and paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.
