American rapper Kanye West has been removed from the platform X (formerly called Twitter). The controversial rapper's X account has been taken down following concerns about his behaviour and disturbing posts on the microblogging platform. But what actually happened?
The move came days after the rapper thanked the tech billionaire and owner of X, Elon Musk, for letting him 'vent' on the platform. The 47-year-old rapper is known to make antisemitic posts like 'I am a Nazi' and also called Hitler 'so fresh.' Kanye West has been posting things on his social media for the past few days.
Concerns about the rapper's behaviour both online and in public started bothering people, and they have raised concerns regarding the same multiple times now.
Why has Kanye West been removed from X?
The controversy linked to West started on the Grammys' red carpet, which raised eyebrows from across the globe. He made headlines when he asked his wife, Bianca Censori, to remove her black coat, revealing a provocative see-through dress.
After this, Kanye West boasted about Bianca's Google search numbers that had surpassed the ones related to the Grammy Awards. This is when his behaviour online raised alarms.

Kanye West's X account turned into an offensive content zone
Time and again, Kanye has shown that his behaviour was not normal. His X account gradually became a platform for unfiltered and offensive content, which included anti-Semitic, misogynistic, and racist remarks.
This was not it; he also went on to declare himself as a Nazi and promoted Nazi-themed merchandise on his website. He criticised obese women and also shared porn.
Noticing all of this, notable personalities such as David Schwimmer and Piers Morgan demanded a public suspension of West's X account.

Kanye West's farewell post on X
Responding to the cryptic messages hinting at his potential removal from the platform, he shared a post saying Elon Musk stopped following him; hence, he is not sure whether he will no longer be a part of Twitter/X. If I'm deleted, go to [link to his merchandise site]," he added in the post.
Later sharing a farewell post, Kanye wrote, "I'm logging out of Twitter. I appreciate Elon for allowing me to vent. It has been very cathartic to use the world as a sounding board. It was like an Ayahuasca trip. Love to all of you who gave me your energy and attention. To reconnect again. Good afternoon and good night.
