Cows Excited To Leave Barn Realise Only Too Late That It's Cold Outside, Immediately Change Their Mind

Oh no, it¡¯s cold. Living in extreme temperatures is not ideal, and not everyone has the appetite for it. Many of us are no fans of cold weather, and it looks like cows are no exception.

A hilarious video doing the rounds on Twitter, shows a herd of cows taking a quick short trip back to their barn after realising it was too cold outside. The group of Friesian cow were let out by their owner on a rather cold day in the Netherlands.

The cows appeared ecstatic as they stormed out of the barn to get a feel of the outside environment, but soon decided it was too cold for their liking and made their way back into the shed.

The video is from Groningen, Netherlands, where the temperature had dropped to as low as 33.8F (1C) when this clip was shot. The video was shared by a Twitter user and it has got over 1.25 lakh views already.

Friesian cows are known for their ability to predict the rain, but this particular group was in no mood to be forecasters for the day as cold temperatures hit them.

The cold weather makes it difficult to manage cows as the tender skin on their udder can be affected by low temperatures and that may very well explain why they decided not to stick around.

For this reason, farmer Nikolay Atlasov in Oymyakon, in the Russian region of Yakuti - one of the world's coldest villages, designed handmade bras for his herd of five cows for when temperatures reach as low as minus 49F (-45C).

The bras, which are made from sheepskin or fur, save up to two litres of milk per cow by protecting the udder's tender skin, Daily Mail reported.
