Not Humans, But Elephants Are The OG Party Animals, Picture Shows 2 Drunk Elephants Passed Out
Indian Forest Service officer Parveen Kaswan is popular for posting wildlife-related photographs. This time he chose to post a picture of two sleeping elephants who had apparently passed out after finding some wine while raiding crops. He said that the elephants were probably trying to sanitise their trunks with the alcohol.
Remember the last time you and your friends decided to have a fun night and ended up passing out after a few too many drinks? Well, if you think human beings are the only ones who tend to do that, you're mistaken.
Apparently, elephants love alcohol and they have the skill of finding it anywhere! Indian Forest Service officer, Parveen Kaswan, is popular for posting wildlife-related photographs with interesting facts and information about them on a regular basis.

Meanwhile few #elephants decided to use alcohol to sanitize trunks in Wunnan, China. They were raiding crops somehow found wine. And the look after drinking too much. As a fact elephants are fond of alcohol, they are good at finding that also, especially Handiya in tribal belts. pic.twitter.com/K77fYuiFqr

When they were all sober. In tribal belts people hide country made alcohol but somehow elephants find it. They mark the houses also where they found that last time. If they see drunk people they get irritated also, since it was not shared with them. All credits in pics. 11/3/20 pic.twitter.com/ESYtPsrd68

Kaswan did not miss an opportunity to make a coronavirus-related reference here and said that the elephants were probably trying to sanitise their trunks with the alcohol. He further explained in the thread that in tribal belts, people hide their locally-made alcohol, but the elephants somehow find it and drink it. He also mentioned that apparently they get irritated when they see drunk people because they didn't share the alcohol with them. Sounds like all my friends!
Apart from the interesting fact, he shared another one which is an unfortunate reality of the condition of elephants around the world. He wrote about how there was a time when the gentlemen of the jungle were present in every part of China. However, only 250 elephants exist in the entire South Asian country today. Currently, India has a total of 30,000 elephants and we hope that the number only increases.
BTW speaking about elephants in china. Today there are only some 250 elephants in whole China. There was a time when #elephants were present in all parts #China. As Thomas Trauttman says Human waged a 3000 year war there, and elephants lost. Now on verge of local extinction.

Let's learn to keep our wildlife safe and sound so that the planet can maintain its natural balance. Human beings are on the path to destruction and since we have managed to do some irreversible damage to our environment, let's try to at least prevent any further problems.
