Mama Bear Miraculously Survives Fall From Cliff While Defending Her Cub In Hair-raising Video
In the video, a mama bear can be seen tumbling off a cliff while defending her cub from a male bear in Castile and Leon, Spain.
There is no braver love than a mother's. They can do anything to protect their children.
A perfect example of this is a video that is going viral on social media. In the video, a mama bear can be seen tumbling off a cliff while defending her cub from a male bear in Castile and Leon, Spain.
The clip shows a female bear involved in a fight with a bigger male on the edge of a mountain cliff, when both tumbled from a great height onto the rocks below.
The male's body rolled a long way downhill and remained motionless after that, while the female limped away from the site where she landed, the video showed.
Fortunately, the mama bear survived the fall, but the nearly 500-pound male wasn't so lucky.
After looking for her for two days in the mountains of Northern Castile and Leon, near Palencia, the park rangers found the female bear's 15-meter-deep burrow, the environment service said on Wednesday on its website.
The bear¡¯s death was confirmed by rangers, who discovered his body during a search of the area several days later, as seen in photos shared on Twitter.

Authorities subsequently found the mother sheltering in a cave and left food and water for her and her cub, Reuters reported.
It is not uncommon for male bears to attack females with cubs during the mating season.
Last month, a video showing a woman saving her toddler from potentially being mauled by a black bear in her backyard went viral.
In the security footage, the woman¡¯s young daughter can be seen walking toward the backyard after spotting a small black bear that¡¯s scrambling along a cement wall lining the yard. "That's a bear!" the young girl could be heard saying in excitement before running toward it.
As soon as she takes off, her mother, Samantha Martin, sprinted outside and scooped her up before running back to the house with her daughter tucked under her arm.
"I just panicked. I didn't really have a lot of thoughts at the moment so much as get the child and get back inside," Samantha told FOX 13.
"It was just a little baby bear, but my biggest concern wasn't necessarily the baby bear so much as I didn't know where the mom was and didn't know how she'd feel about two humans running towards her baby," she added.
Fortunately, the mother was able to save the day.
