After Being Seen In Odisha, Olive Ridley Turtle Hatchlings Emerge From Their Nests In Goa!
After news of Olive Ridley Turtles showing up for mass-nesting at Rushikulya beach of Odisha¡¯s Ganjam district, hatchlings emerged from their nests on Morjim beach in Goa.
Nature is flourishing while human beings remain in lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The deadly disease has attacked several countries around the world. However, nature has its own way of functioning and it is becoming quite clear that us being locked up inside is helping others on the planet get some much-needed space.
After news of Olive Ridley Turtles showing up for mass-nesting at Rushikulya beach of Odisha¡¯s Ganjam district, hatchlings emerged from their nests on Morjim beach in Goa.
In a video that was posted by Goa Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant, on Twitter, Olive Ridley Turtle hatchlings have appeared on the beach from their nests. The CM also informed that other beaches like Mandrem, Agonda and Galigibagh also attract the Olive Ridley turtles for nesting.
He captioned the video - 'Amazing wonders of nature! Olive Ridley turtle hatchlings emerging out from the last nest at Morjim. Along with Morjim, Mandrem, Agonda and Galgibagh are important beaches in Goa which attract turtles for nesting'.

Earlier, he had posted a picture of a black panther walking in the Patiem Beat of Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary in South Goa. For the longest time, there has never been a sighting of the majestic animal, and the forest officials are trying to find out if there are any more of the big black cats in the sanctuary which is a tiger-dominant area.
Hopefully, once the lockdown is lifted, after the world manages to defeat the novel pandemic, nature can continue to rejuvenate itself like this.
