The short clip has gone viral on the microblogging website with over 24,000 views. Netizens took to the comments section to express their horror.
One user commented, 'Reminds me of the desperate howling of the local dogs at some nights, and the next day we found one missing. This was when we stayed in a forest mining settlement. We never saw the perpetrator, but the locals said it was the handiwork of the leopards.'
Another user wrote, 'Humans are the culprits of Mother Earth. We don't deserve it.'
One more comment read, 'Scary! There must be bigger reason for panther having to hunt in inhabited areas. Reduced forests? Humans encroaching on forest lands?'
If you have a dog (s) and live in an area where leopard/black panther sightings are common, please ensure to keep your canine in a guarded place.
