Video: Herd Of Elephants Taking A Bath Is Exactly The Refreshment You Need In This Heat

Elephants are loved by all; the gentle giant is a favourite among people and at times, their antics make them even more endearing. Known for being family-oriented animals, elephants are always seen travelling in a herd. The young ones are always looked after by the parents and they live life without bothering anyone else.

Since the summer season has put us in a 'heated' mood, watching a herd of elephants taking a satisfying bath is definitely a delight for sore eyes. A video was posted by Indian Forest Service officer, Parveen Kaswan, in which elephants are bathing themselves in what seems like a lake.

Since hygiene is a frequent topic discussed these days, Kaswan very smartly inserted it in his caption and he's absolutely right. The coronavirus outbreak has brought to our attention that personal hygiene is extremely important. So, if you haven't taken a bath today, maybe it's time to get up and hit the shower.

The 20-second-long clip even shows baby elephants enjoying the freshness of the bath along with the adults. Kaswan also commented on how the animals love water and therefore, it is quite a common sight to see them indulge in an activity like this, in the wild.

Elephants have been quite the social media stars recently. A video that was posted by IFS Susanta Nanda on Twitter showed a baby elephant having a play-date with birds, and Netizens were quick to point out how adorable the young creature was.

Another clip shared by Nanda, was of an elephant trying to shake a mango tree in order to treat itself to the sweet fruit. The video received a lot of love from people on social media and why not? It was a clear example of how smart the magnificent creatures are.

Elephants are extremely intelligent creatures and on an average, their brain is thrice the size of a human brain. Known for being gentle and kind, elephants are unfortunately exploited in the name of tourism and entertainment by many countries.

Taking undue advantage of such beautiful and intelligent creatures is unacceptable and human beings should learn to be compassionate and show kindness towards these magnificent creatures.
