Are you a Fortnite OG fan? With 1.1 million players joining the game just 2 hours after its release time, the developers and publisher of Epic Games have made two controversial changes to the mode. This has divided its fan base by adding skill-based matchmaking to Fortnite's new throwback mode.
The latest release of Fortnite OG takes the players back to memory lane to Season 1 of the battle royale, bringing back the old map, loot pool, and game techniques.
Taking to the official Twitter account for the game, Fortnite posted that the new Fortnite OG would not add improvements to matchmaking as well as duos. The new add-on of skill-based matchmaking comes with new bots, but unfortunately, this is not liked by some fans.
Fans disconnect over the new update
As soon as the update of the new update surfaced on social media, fans showed their anger and unhappiness, claiming that the skill-based matchmaking and bots ruin the experience of the gameplay.
Some fans also expressed their feelings that the changes make the throwback mode classic in name only.

As per reports, the controversial change has sparked heated debates among Fortnite fans. Some Reddit users shared their comments about landing, being eliminated, and repeating the process over and over again.
On the other hand, some fans also say that the new update takes the players on a nostalgic journey.

Why has Epic Games made the change?
According to GameRant, the changes have been made mostly to appease more players, but unfortunately, many players have returned disappointed with the latest experience.
