Min Hee-jin's controversies deepen: Calling Chairman Bang a 'pig,' secret meetings, and NewJeans exit plans
The HYBE, ADOR, and Min Hee-jin drama deepens, dividing fans. While NewJeans supporters side with Min, revelations about secret meetings and investment plans raise doubts about her claims, tilting the narrative in HYBE's favor.
The drama involving HYBE, ADOR, Min Hee-jin, and NewJeans shows no signs of ending. With each party presenting their own version of events, fans have been left divided. Supporters of NewJeans¡ªMinji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein¡ªlargely side with Min Hee-jin, while others remain unsure of whom to believe.
However, a significant portion of K-pop fans have voiced criticism against HYBE, citing a general distrust of entertainment agencies. Min Hee-jin's public statements in various press conferences and the support she has received from NewJeans have further tilted public sentiment in her favor. Despite this, new revelations suggest that not everything she has claimed might be true.
Did Min Hee-jin lie?
Park Jeong Gyu, chairman of DAVOLINK, alleged that he met with Min Hee-jin last year to discuss the controversial exit of NewJeans from ADOR. According to Tenasia's exclusive report on January 9, 2025, Park disclosed details about their alleged secret meeting in September 2024. According to Park, Min approached him with a proposal to help remove NewJeans from ADOR.
Allegations against Min Hee-jin
Park claimed that he was introduced to Min by an acquaintance in August 2024, reportedly a relative of one of NewJeans' members. The two later met at Park's residence in Seoul, where they discussed a potential ?5 billion KRW (approximately $3.43 million USD) investment in NewJeans. Park declined the offer, citing the high risk involved.
During their three-hour meeting, Park alleged that over 70% of the discussion revolved around Min herself, including her conflicts with HYBE and Chairman Bang Si Hyuk. He recounted Min allegedly calling Chairman Bang a "f*king pig," which left Park questioning her professionalism.
A day before the first hearing for the lawsuit against Belift & Source Music, TenAsia released an interview with Davolink CEO which stated #MinHeeJin telling lies when she said she never decided to receive investment/signing a contract with Davolink.

Min Hee-jin's denial
The former ADOR CEO has however, strongly denied the claims, stating that she never met with Park or proposed any investment plans. Her officials released a statement and according to Koreaboo, called Park's allegations baseless.
However, critics stated that inconsistencies in her position, especially her denial of any meeting, which some believe could be tied to potential legal ramifications, seems suspicious.
HYBE's response
Meanwhile, HYBE has filed a complaint against Min Hee-jin for breach of trust, and an investigation is currently underway. This ongoing legal battle continues to fuel debates among fans and the industry about the future of NewJeans and the truth behind these allegations.
This revelation about her alleged lies could certainly work in HYBE's favor. As an internal director at ADOR, Min Hee-jin is accused of holding meetings, discussing external investments, and attempting to remove NewJeans from the company¡ªactions that could constitute a breach of trust.
