GTA 6 map comparison goes viral; Reddit blows up as fans spot key changes¡ªcheck details

Rockstar Games has finally released the second trailer of Grand Theft Auto VI, or GTA 6, after a year-long wait for the first trailer. Now the fans are waiting for the game to be launched, ahead of which they have been indulging in numerous rumours and speculations about the leaks, map and content. Amid this, a recent Reddit post on the GTA 6 subreddit has caught the attention of fans, showcasing a side-by-side comparison of maps from the fan-driven GTA 6 mapping point.

In the now viral post, one picture is from September 202,2 and the other is from May 2025. The Mapping project is a community-led initiative that is only meant to be dedicated to reconstructing the rumoured in-game map using coordinates pulled from the official Rockstar materials and other speculative data.

As soon as the post surfaced on social media, it grabbed the eyeballs of fans, and one even posted a comparison of both and said, "GTAV mapping project was insanely accurate to the real thing, especially closer towards release as more trailers were released so im optimistic that the GTAVI mapping project is gonna be accurate as well."

While another said, "It really isn't that big; it just looks that big because we're used to seeing airports on the edge of the map. If you cut out GTAV's airport and paste it right next to GTAVI's airport, VI's is only like, 10-20% larger than V's. But the airports also probably do need to be built slightly larger than GTA V, because in GTA V all of the planes got scaled down because the map and airports were to small. if they want to make slightly more accurately scaled aeroplanes and such, they would need to make the runways and such slightly larger too."
