American YouTuber Orders Food In Fluent Tamil In Viral Video, Leaves Desis In Awe

The popularity of Indian food has sky-rocketed over the years. People like to enjoy food that is spicy, flavourful and aromatic - that is what Indian cuisine offers in riches.

Indian cuisine is celebrated around the globe. Among other countries, the US is one of those countries where people are greatly passionate about Indian food. There have been many viral videos of the same.

Now, a video has gone viral showing a popular YouTuber ordering some food in perfect Tamil.

An American Youtuber named Arieh Smith who handles the channel - Xiaomanyc -spoke fluent Tamil while ordering some South Indian delicacies. The YouTuber took the video of his experience and interaction with a local shopkeeper in the US.

In the video, YouTuber highlights how the Tamil language fascinates him as it is one of the oldest languages still being spoken in several parts of the world.

¡°I¡¯ve been fascinated with the Tamil language ever since I learned that it is one of the world¡¯s oldest languages still in use. Spoken in both India and Sri Lanka it¡¯s actually quite rare in America, but I was able to find some restaurants in and around New York City that are run by Tamil speakers and here¡¯s what happened when I tried ordering in this ancient and beautiful but extremely challenging language,¡± read the caption.

The clip shows him ordering an onion rava dosa and several other items.

The video has gone crazy viral and garnered more than a million views. Desis were also left impressed and showered praises on him.

"Learning languages like this is breaking the language barrier and bringing people together despite their differences! it¡¯s amazing to see the effort you put into making others smile," one user commented.

¡±The fact that you can have a conversation within 3 weeks of learning it is absolutely mind blowing," a second user commented.

"As a Tamilian, I can¡¯t express how happy I am to see you speak Tamil, especially since you inspired me to learn Mandarin! Your accent still sounds distinctly American, but you speak really well," a third user said.

Earlier, another video of Arieh Smith speaking some fluent Bangla while ordering some Bengali delicacies went viral.

The video clip begins with the YouTuber highlighting the fact that despite being one of the most spoken languages in the world, Bengali often doesn¡¯t get the attention it deserves. He then goes on a food trail where he goes shop-to-shop trying different food items in the market.
