Anand Mahindra Extends Help To Former National Boxer Who Drives Auto To Make Ends Meet
Not the first time when Anand Mahindra took notice of any common man with special talent or someone excelling in spite of difficulties and assured help. This time again, the Indian business tycoon took notice of Abid Khan's story who went from being a national level boxer to now being an auto driver. Mahindra appreciated the fact that he didn't resort to accepting handouts.
Unfortunately, we have often come across stories about national sportspersons who once brought laurels to our country and are now living a life full of struggles. The latest story being of this man who used to be a national level boxer but now drives now an auto to get by.
Abid Khan's story went viral recently when a video of him sharing his journey from a national level boxer to an auto driver surfaced on social media. Khan is not only a trained professional, but he has also served as coach for the boxing teams of the army for 5 years.
Indian business tycoon Anand Mahindra took notice of Khan's story and tweeted, 'I especially appreciate his not looking for a handout. In any case I prefer investing in people¡¯s talents & passion rather than offer charity. Please let me know how I can invest and support his ¡®startup¡¯ boxing academy...'
Anand Mahindra has always offered help to the less privileged in the most ethical way.
Thank you Saurabh, for telling us Abid¡¯s story. I especially appreciate his not looking for a handout. In any case I prefer investing in people¡¯s talents & passion rather than offer charity. Please let me know how I can invest and support his ¡®startup¡¯ boxing academy... https://t.co/409LslAvHu

Known for his philanthropic nature and kindness, Mr Mahindra often lends a helping hand to those who need or deserve it the most. Recently, he had also bought a house for Kamalathal, also known as 'Idli Amma' who sells idli sambar for Re 1. The businessman wanted to help her grow and make work easy for her.
