After an Australian Vlogger uploaded his Thailand trip video to his Youtube channel, it created quite a stir. The now-viral video purportedly shows a group of monkeys cornering a kid. His dad rushes to his aid and punches a monkey to save his child from getting bit.
The video was uploaded by the channel 'Sailing La Vagabonde,' which is run by Riley Whitelum and Elayna Carausu, an Australian vlogging couple.
Australian Man Fends Off A Group Of Monkeys To Save Son
Going by the nail-biting video, a tribe of monkeys can be seen approaching the family's bag containing wallets, phones, and even a passport.
Suddenly, one of the monkeys approaches Riley's son, prompting him to pick up his crying and terrified son. Riley pulls him up as the hostile monkeys approach, and he gestures at them to go away. Riley punches one monkey away and receives a minor injury on his finger as a result of one of the violent primates almost jumping on him.
The Internet Was Left Shocked
In just a small span of time, the video has gained a lot of attention. The clip has over 27K likes, 780K+ views, and over 3K comments. After seeing this, people online and in the video were left horrified.
Some shocking comments came pouring in. The incident has elicited outrage in the comments section of the video.
One of the commenters said, ¡°What an insane episode! I¡¯m glad Riley is okay. I hope he heals fully. This was definitely eye opening!¡±
The other said, ¡°I will vouch that Riley is a very nice man, who only occasionally punches monkeys on an as-needed basis ? Glad you¡¯re okay!¡±
The other commented, ¡°Damnnnnn guys, what an experience! ? So so so glad that the kids weren't hurt, and that Riley's okay! I've had a lot of shots for travels, but never bothered with rabies cos 1) it's really expensive & 2) you need several shots over a few weeks/months, but if you're travelling long term to super remote places with a lot of wildlife then it's definitely a good idea, such a pain (literally) for you that you have to go through all those shots & drugs now ? at least you have a good story to tell now!¡±
Whitelum, from a small country town in South Australia, and Carausu, a small coastal town in Western Australia, has spent nine years sailing around the world documenting their adventures on their YouTube channel.
But the father was so brave that he saved his son without worrying about his own life!
