People Think It's Genius For South Korea To Package Bananas As Per Ripeness To Avoid Wastage
The stores are apparently packing bananas as per their ripeness and the picture of the same is going viral all over the internet.
Bananas are known to go bad pretty quickly and some of us overestimate our consumption of the fruit and always buy more than we can eat in a stipulated amount of time.
However, stores in South Korea have found the perfect solution to this problem so that no more bananas go in the bin instead of our stomach. The stores are apparently packing bananas as per their ripeness and the picture of the same is going viral all over the internet.
The picture was posted on Twitter by @mrstrangefact with the caption, 'In South Korea, some stores package their bananas together in various ripeness stages so you can eat them over several days without them going brown. They call them "one-a-day" bananas.'

It has more than 77,000 likes and almost 23,000 retweets. The photograph shows a tray of bananas packaged together - the one on the left is fully ripened while the right one is slightly green and raw.
Just like this, there are bananas of several degrees of ripeness arranged together.
The concept behind this idea is get a person to eat one banana every day without having to discard them when they get spoilt.

People are calling the idea absolutely genius and took to the post's comment section to express the same.
'When in doubt follow what Koreans do. They¡¯re the most pragmatic people on the planet,' wrote one user.
Another user commented, 'Too much intelligence applied here. Most of us just keep buying 5 and throwing away 2.'
'Bananas come with their own bio-degradable packaging. Putting them into a plastic container is the biggest nonsense I've seen today,' wrote a third user.
