Twitter user also shared the business card of the Rapido driver, a freelance creative director, and urged people to contact him for any creative work.
Stories from Bengaluru, a fast-paced city, have always captivated social media users. The latest from the startup hub is the tale of a Rapido rider who is also an independent videographer.
On August 15, a Twitter user named Parag Jain shared a thread about his conversation with the rider.
The story of a Bengaluru-based bike-taxi driver who is also an award-winning creative director and was laid off by a Chinese company during the COVID-19 pandemic has become an internet sensation.
While the pandemic made lives difficult for many, people also gathered the courage to pick up the pieces and start again.
Aside from his ordeal, the internet was touched by how a Twitter user found that both of them once shared the same co-working space.
A Twitter user Parag Jain recounted his experience, which he described as a peak Bengaluru moment but a mixed one.
"Had mixed @peakbengaluru movement," he wrote.
A Rapido rider showed up at WeWork to pick us up. "On which floor are you working?' he asked me during the ride. After introducing him, I wondered if he had been in wework, and he said yes."
