Now, the billionaire has told all his followers about a bizarre theory. He shared a link to a BBC article about the death of dinosaurs. He went on to talk about the end of mankind, which in his opinion is quite close. He wrote: "This will happen again ¨C just a matter of time".

The BBC article read: "The asteroid that ended the Cretaceous took with it famous dinosaurs like Tyrannosaurus and Triceratops, as well as lesser-known but bizarre creatures like Anzu, or the 'chicken from hell.'"
It was then added that the planet's former inhabitants were taken over by small rodent-like animals such as the Purgatorius, as well as our distant ancestors. The article said: "Among the survivors was the earliest known primate, Purgatorius, which looked like a cross between a shrew and a tiny squirrel. Its numbers would surely have dwindled amid this global catastrophe, but the species survived."
Many of Musk's followers agreed with his claim. One user said: "Well in the past 10% of the Earth's past we know there have been 5 major mass extinctions. So every one every 50-100M years. And it's been awfully quiet these past 65M years.. Just sayin.. living on two planets sounds pretty good right about now".

When Elon Musk talked about population collapse and a low birth rate
Recently, the billionaire also shared a terrifying warning, speculating on the possible cause of society's collapse. The Tesla CEO said: "Population collapse due to low birth rates is a much bigger risk to civilization than global warming."
