Isha is a third-year undergraduate student studying computer science who bagged a software engineering summer internship that will commence in 2025. In a detailed thread on X, she shared every step of the gruelling process hoping it could help other aspirants as well. "Finally, got an offer from @Google for software engineering intern 2025. Here goes the thread for how it all happened!!" she began.
She explained it was an on-campus opportunity that began in June, "It was an on campus opportunity and I filled the application form provided from TnP cell of my college."
Her next task was an online assessment that lasted 90 minutes:
Soon after that , on 13 July, online assessment was scheduled. It consist of two hard difficulty questions based on dp and graph which had to be solved in 90 mins.

The process then got tricky as interviews were scheduled for the next day:
The interviews were scheduled for the very next day, leaving us with almost no time to preparstion. There were two rounds of interviews, each primarily focused on Data Structures and Algorithms and problem-solving. Both rounds were eliminatory in nature.

She then wrote about her first interview:
My first interview was scheduled for 9:30 a.m. and lasted around 50 minutes. During the interview, I was presented with two DSA questions of medium to hard difficulty.

And she aced it:
The first question was based on dynamic programming, while the second one involved stacks. I successfully solved both of them.

But she got nervous too:
At around 10:30 a.m. , I got a call from recruiter informing me that my next interview is scheduled at 10:45 a.m. and this was when I got most nervous.

But she got over that and aced the interview again:
This interview focused on priority queues, with a follow-up question on the same topic. I successfully solved the problem and thoroughly explained each approach, including their time and space complexities.

Next, she did what most forget to do: ask questions for their own.
The interviewer also inquired about my choice of data structure and why I didn¡¯t opt for others, to which I provided a detailed explanation. I concluded the interview by asking a few questions of my own. This round lasted for about 45 minutes.

She also shared the news on Linkedin:
"This opportunity is a dream come true, and I am incredibly grateful for the chance to learn and contribute alongside some of the brightest minds in the tech industry. The journey included a rigorous online assessment followed by two technical interviews, each step challenging me and testing my problem-solving skills," she wrote.
