In a video that has gone viral, Urvashi was seen getting showered by buckets full of cash when she was performing at a function in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on the occasion of Tulsi Vivah, a Hindu festival which is a ceremonial marriage of Tulsi and Lord Vishnu.
In the clip, Urvashi is sitting on the stage, playing harmonium and singing and just then the man walked up to her from behind and emptied the drum full of money on her.
The members of the audience also showered currency notes on her.
At one point, there were too many currency notes on her harmonium, so she simply swept them aside and continued with her performance.
Taking to Instagram, Urvashi shared the video and thanked everyone for their ¡®invaluable love¡¯. She also added the hashtag ¡®money rain¡¯, among others.
Unsurprisingly, many people were taken aback by the amount of money that was lying around her.
¡°Aatla pisa nu su karo (What will you do with so much money),¡± one person asked. "Didi kuch paisa bhej do na," another user commented. "Itne paise ka karoge kya?" a third user commented.
Urvashi is quite a big name in the Gujarati music industry. She is often referred to as ¡®Kathiawar¡¯s cuckoo¡¯.
She is known for songs such as Kasumbi No Rang, Nagar Nand Ji Naa Lal, Bhav Na Fera, Dwarika, Mathura Ma Vagi Morli and others.
