In a post, a Dalit garbage collector is pleading for people¡¯s help to rebuild the house that took him 20 years to build in the first place.
Narrating his story in the post, Sampat writes, ¡®An MLA who lives next to me demolished my house to convert the land into his own property. Because I am Dalit, the upper-caste MLA left human faeces outside my house to humiliate me. I filed an FIR against him, but I did not get justice. No action has been taken against the MLA and his goons. They are threatening my family to this day. We are scared for our lives, and we need 5 lakhs to rebuild what is left of our house¡¯.
