Kerala: Lady Luck Smiles On A Daily Wager Who Becomes Model After Fashion Photographer Spots Him
60-year-old Mammikka, who is lives in Kozhikode, was known in his locality for his faded lungi and shirt. Now, the daily wage worker has wowed everyone with his fabulous make over.
Sometimes, a person's life changes in a heartbeat and this man's story from Kerala is a brilliant example of the same.

The man recently wrapped up a promotional photoshoot of a local firm wearing a sharp suit and posing with an iPad. Photographer Shareek Vayalil spotted the man for modelling while he was working as a daily wager.
He had earlier posted a photo of Mammikka on his social media page which went viral for his evident likeness to actor Vinayakan.
Later, when this assignment showed up, Shareek thought of Mammikka. For the photoshoot, Mammikka's make-up was done by artist Majnas; Aashiq Fuad and Shabeeb Vayalil were the make-up assistants.
Now, Mammikka has an Instagram page where photos of him in regular clothes as well as the makeover he had during the photoshoot. He is now hailed as a hero in his native Vennakkad, Kodivalli in Kozhikode.
Mammikka is very happy with his sudden success and said that he wants to continue modelling if gets offers alongside his regular job of a daily wager.
A few years ago, a chaiwala from Pakistan had gone viral on social media after a photographer clicked his photos. Arshad Khan, went on to become an overnight internet sensation, all because of a single picture snapped by photographer Jiah Ali. He later went on to launch his own chai cafes in 2020 in Islamabad. Now, Arshad owns three chai cafes, two in Lahore and one in Murree.
In December 2021, Arshad a video in which he was seen giving social media users a tour of his cafe in Gulberg. In the video, posted on Instagram, Arshad Khan was seen entering one of his cafes located in Gulberg, Lahore. The video shows a tour of the cafe that includes the lounge area inside, as well as the sitting space outside.
The stories of Mammikka and Arshad Khan are beautiful examples of how your luck can change with just a few things. Both the men have the photographers to thank for their success and internet fame.
