To get her phone returned, the 'Amal Jyothi College of Engineering' student had to send an apology letter to the warden. Reddit user @bheemanreghu posted a snapshot of the apology letter and the pupil holding it.

"I sincerely apologize for hearing songs on my phone while taking a bath, and this will not happen again," she wrote in the letter. I respectfully urge that you return my phone because I have significant tasks and projects to finish." The letter was written in October of last year.
