Ex-Meta Recruiter Makes Sensational Claims, Says She Was Paid Rs 1.5 Cr 'To Do Nothing'
In a now-viral TikTok video, an ex-Meta recruiter is claiming that while she was at the job, she got paid a whopping salary of Rs 1.5 crores for doing absolutely "nothing."
Imagine doing absolutely nothing and still getting crores in your bank account. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal, doesn¡¯t it? Well, this arrangement might sound like a dream to many, but an ex-Meta recruiter is hopping onto TikTok and claiming that she lived the dream for six months before she was fired during the mass layoffs at the company.
Former Meta Recruiter Claims She Was Paid Rs 1.5 Cr For Doing 'Nothing'
TikTok personality Maddie in a recent series of videos claimed that she was getting a whopping Rs 1.5 Crore ($190,000) salary before she was kicked off the deck by Meta. The former recruiter alleged that while she was at the company back in 2021, her team was not taking on any new employees for the year.
Cutting her work out as a recruiter to basically nada. In her video, she explained, ¡°We weren¡¯t expected to hire anybody for the first six months, even the first year.¡± The deal sounded perfect to her, ¡°That really blew my mind. Like perfect, I¡¯m just going to ride this out for a year, obviously I didn¡¯t make that.¡±
During her time at the company, she spent her days ¡°learning¡± instead of doing any actual work. She shared that the company had a comprehensive onboarding and training program that kept her busy throughout her term at Meta.

Maddie Claimed That Besides Learning, All She Had To Do Was Attend team Meetings
She also added that most of her time was spent in boring team meetings: "But the most that we did, and this is the crazy part, is we had so many team meetings." She continued her rant, "Why are we meeting? We¡¯re not hiring anybody. Just to hear how everyone else isn¡¯t hiring anybody. And also, I was on a team where everyone was new, so none of us were hiring anybody."
However, the sweet arrangement soon came to an end when her viral TikTok video on the company¡¯s benefits package received thumbs up from her colleagues but obviously did not go well with the higher-ups.
Maddie ended up being fired for posting videos about how "challenging: her job could potentially be. When she tried to argue that she stopped making content for Meta, the company pulled out more of her videos to question their appropriateness. Eventually, Maddie was fired from her position at Meta, but she did bank quite a sum while she was there.
