No One Above The Law - Hyderabad Traffic Police Fine ACP For Parking Vehicle In No-Parking Zone
Hyderabad Traffic Police has set an example for the rest of the country to follow. Anil Kumar Additional Commissioner of Police was fined for parking his vehicle in a no-parking zone. A fine of Rs 235 was imposed for wrong parking and was immediately paid.
Parking and traffic rules in India are one big mess. The implementation of the rules and regulations also becomes a problem when the top brass of our lawmakers don¡¯t bother to follow rules. But Hyderabad Traffic Police has set an example for the rest of the country to follow.
On November 15, 2018, a Hyderabad traffic police officer fined the Additional Commissioner of Police for parking his vehicle in a no-parking zone. A journalist tweeted about this and informed Hyderabad Police about the same:

Hyderabad Traffic Police replied to his tweet with a photo of the challan issued under the name of Anil Kumar, Additional Commissioner of Police.

Giving a statement, Anil Kumar said: ¡°I was on a visit to Makankali Traffic Police Station in the afternoon of November 15. And it was not in my notice that my driver has parked my vehicle in the no-parking zone. As soon as it came to my notice after a person tweeted the picture of my vehicle parked at No Parking. Immediately I informed my officials to issue a fine on my vehicle and I asked my driver to pay for it. A fine of Rs 235 was imposed for wrong parking and was immediately paid.¡±
