Reliance Relaunches Soft Drink Brand Campa With Three Flavours
The local brand has a legacy of more than 50 years in the country. On March 9, Reliance Consumer Products Ltd. (RCPL) re-launched the brand. Months ago, the brand was acquired by RCPL¡¯s parent company, Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd.
After a rebrand, Campa is back in business with three flavours: Campa Cola, Campa Orange, and Campa Lemon. The sales begin with Holi gone and summer approaching, which is the perfect season to bring back the iconic drinks.
The new campaign for the brand is pegged on bringing back the "great Indian taste," with the product being available in five different sizes: 200 ml, 500 ml, 600 ml, 1000 ml, and 2000 ml.
Reliance Acquired The Local Brand Back In August 2022
Last year in August, Reliance acquired the company from Delhi-based Pure Drinks Ltd. for a price of Rs 22 crore. Back in the 70s and 80s, the brand was a prime drink of choice in the country and dominated the soft drink market until western brands like Pepsi and Coca-Cola entered the market and gulped it down.
With the launch of the rebranded soft drinks, a spokesperson for RCPL said, "By presenting Campa in its new avatar, we hope to inspire consumers across generations to embrace this truly iconic brand and trigger a new excitement in the beverage segment. While older family members will have fond memories of the original Campa and cherish the nostalgia associated with the brand, younger consumers will love the crisp, refreshing taste."
They added, "With a rapidly evolving Indian market throwing up more consumption occasions, we are truly excited to bring back Campa, which is yet another bold step forward for our expanding FMCG business."
The re-launch caused a stir online, and people hopped on the trend to try the new Campa Cola. On hearing the news, one user reacted, "How Lovely. Can't wait to have Campa Cola again."

One user was unimpressed by the taste of the drink, saying, "Taste is subjective but bro¡¯s they are trying to cash in on the campa cola name. Am sure campa cola didn¡¯t taste this weird. ( never tried it but have heard good things from parents & friend¡¯s parents ). Close your eyes and if feels like you are drinking surf excel (smell )."
