It was recently reported that Cartoon Network Studios is set to merge with Warner Bros Animation. People call it the end of an era.
Update: After 'RIP Cartoon Network' took over the internet post the Warner Bros merger, Cartoon Network's official handle took the liberty of explaining what exactly is going on. In a tweet, the official handle shared, "Y¡¯all we're not dead, we're just turning 30. To our fans: We're not going anywhere. We have been and will always be your home for beloved, innovative cartoons. More to come soon!"

The fondest memories of being a kid even now would remain rushing back home from school and watch our favourite cartoons on Cartoon Network. The excitement of watching Scooby or Tom and Jerry was unparalleled.
Cartoon Network's merger with Warner Bros receives reactions from fans
Even though some of these shows still air on television, it does not feel the same as they used to be back in the day. That is partly because of all the changes and improvements Cartoon Network made which totally changed the way we saw things.

However, now reports mention that Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network Studios are all set to merge. Not just that, there will be a lot of restructuring in the animation departments. The reports came out soon after it was revealed that Warner Bros. Television Group (WBTVG) laid off 82 scripted, unscripted, and animation employees which constitute about 26% of the company's workforce.
But as a fan, we all are thinking the same. Our childhood is doomed. So, people on the internet have gone on a nostalgic ride now where they have been thanking Cartoon Network for all the great memories. Not just that, many are even paying their tributes to Cartoon Network for a great childhood.

According to reports, the three labels (Warner Bros. Animation, Hanna-Barbera Studios and Cartoon Network Animation) will continue to stay distinctly even after their merge, under one division. Apparently, the consolidation will be independent of the type of content they create.
