A video is going viral showing a South Korean woman performing an Indian classical dance at a social function. Dancer Beena Keum gracefully performed Odissi and left everyone in awe.
Keum first encountered the Odissi dance form in 2001 while watching Kamasutra by Mira Nair. She was inspired by the brief glimpse of the dance routine. So much so that she travelled to India and learned it.
She now travels to various places and presents the dance form, as per the Hindustan Times. And recently, she performed in front of her home audience and left everyone impressed.
Keum, who was dressed in a Patta saree, can be seen gracefully executing the Odissi dance steps to a South Korean song and Indian classical beats. Keum was joined by an Indian woman who performed Kathak with her on stage.
The video was shared by user @mylovefromkorea17 on Instagram.
"When two cultures meet, nothing is beautiful than that," the video is captioned.
The video has garnered more than 1 lakh views. People were left impressed by Keum's flawless performance.
"That was so pretty and beautiful unni..being an Odia you made all of us proud..." a user commented.
"She is dancing the Odissi dance so gracefully. This is wonderful," another user wrote.
"As an odissi dancer myself this makes me feel so proud and yet thankful that they too are acknowledging our culture," another user said.

Korean dancers groove to 'Nagada Sang Dhol' and 'Tattad Tattad'
Earlier, a video of Korean dancers grooving to the beats of 'Nagada Sang Dhol' and 'Tattad Tattad' went viral.
The video is from a pre-celebration of the Chuseok festival, which is a Korean Thanksgiving Festival. It is a major mid-autumn harvest festival and a three-day holiday in South Korea, celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar on the full moon.
The Korean dancers were dressed to the nines in Indian ethnic attire.
