Kindness Prevails! Homeless Woman Got Help From Kind Stranger Who Gifted Her Laptop & A New Job
A homeless woman whose story recently went viral has shared how she 'couldn't be happier' after a kind stranger came across her videos and gifted her a laptop and a new job.
Kindness towards strangers is truly precious and if someone helps you at a time of need then it is the most heartwarming.
A 27-year-old shared that he and his partner got homeless. This woman named Courtney lives in New York and shared that she and her partner lost their jobs at the same time in the same week. Apparently, they moved to Courtney's sister's place but it didn't work out.
This is when the couple started living on the streets and in the parks while completing the necessary intake process for shelter accommodation.
After the couple's application for shelter accommodation was approved, they faced other challenges. They found it difficult to find work that met the shelter's requirements proving to be difficult.

She showed what being homeless looks like and what are the struggles of being homeless looks like on her TikTok videos. After getting to know about her struggles, a stranger gifted her a laptop so that she can pick her life up.
This woman named Chelsey aged 28 came across Courtney's videos, she knew she wanted to help. She decided to gift Courtney a laptop as it would help with her job hunt.
Chelsey, who helps reunite people with long-lost family heirlooms, realised she could be of more assistance by hiring Courtney. She made sure Courtney gets a job and hired her as a freelancer with her heirloom project.
Chelsey said, "I started following her story and couldn¡¯t help but feel compelled to help. I know people tend to send money or supplies, but I wanted to send her an opportunity versus something static. Cash is great, but I knew if I sent her a laptop, she could find virtual job opportunities while searching for a full-time gig."
She realised that her heirloom project doesn't have a lot of traction and assistance from Courtney through social media can help both of them out.
Chelsey added, "She¡¯s now helping me write blog posts about the stories behind the heirlooms I¡¯ve returned. So far, she¡¯s written four posts, and although there¡¯s a learning curve to this work, she¡¯s doing a great job and I¡¯m excited to continue working together."
