A new hilarious video has been going viral on the internet as it captures how somehow a toddler made its way to one corner of a football field and attempted to steal a flag marker from the scene.
Well, as unreal as the scenario sounds it actually happened and was even caught on tape. During a women¡¯s football game in Ireland, a toddler halted the match when it landed on the side of the field. The incident only momentarily stopped the game, but it resulted in a hilarious video that went viral online.
The game between the Cork City Women and Dublin's DLR Waves was in the 44th minute when a toddler¡¯s curiosity took the better of his judgment and ended in it taking the flag with it. As a result, the players approached the toddler and requested it to return the flag which is used to mark when the edge of the football field and determine if the ball has gone off the boundary.
The toddler gave up the flag without much problem and the game continued without any hitches. The official Cork City Women account also tweeted about the hilarious moment in real-time and also mentioned how their team was in the lead at the time with two goals in. Even though DLR Waves did manage to score one goal, Cork City eventually took the win home.
The Toddler Swung The Flag Post Around For Fun In The Video
In the clip going around the internet, spectators are seen sitting on an incline beside the field as the game plays on when a toddler is captured swinging around the white flag post situated by the edge of the field. The toddler grabs eyeballs as soon as they start swinging around the tall flag post around.
The players make their way to the kid who seemingly had enough strength to hold up the flag post. As the child notices the players approach it, the toddler makes a run for it in order to protect the newly acquired flag. At this point, a man apparently wearing the Cork City jersey approaches the child and brings back the flag to its original place. And with that, the game continues without any disturbance.
