Watch: Cat Jumps From The Fifth Floor After Building Catches Fire, Lands Smoothly On The Ground
The cat was captured jumping out of the window from the fifth floor of the building to escape the fire. The cat landed smoothly on a grassy patch nearby. It bounced back by force and landed on its paws with ease.

Proving the same, a cat was caught in action on camera when Chicago Fire Department went to douse a fire in a building. The cat was captured jumping out of the window off the fifth floor of the building to escape the fire.
According to reports, a fire broke out in a building at the 65th and Lowe in Chicago, Illinois, USA. One of the fire department personnel was capturing the video of the exterior of the building while other firefighters were extinguishing the fire.
Soon a black cat revealed itself at one of the broken windows. It jumped straight down to the ground. People could be heard gasping in the background but the cat landed smoothly on a grassy patch nearby. It bounced back by force and landed on its paws with ease.
After that, it ran away and hid under a nearby parked car.
¡°It went under my car and hid until she felt better after a couple of minutes and came out and tried to scale the wall to get back in,¡± the fire department spokesman Larry Langford said.
The video of the incident was posted on Twitter by the Chicago Fire Department with the caption, ¡°nine lives for a cat."

No casualties or damage was reported as the fire which broke in one apartment was immediately contained. The cat was also reported to be absolutely fine.
