Viral video: Auto-rickshaw driver sings 'Sandese Aate Hai' during live karaoke session on road
Where does he sing his songs then, you ask? In his auto-rickshaw of course. He parks it on the side of a road, and traffic jam or not, he turns on his charm to keep other dreamers and 9-to-5ers from giving up on, well, their dreams.
Mumbai, the City of Dreams, doesn't only attract dreamers from other cities, it already has quite a few. Like this auto-rickshaw driver from Mumbai who is something of a singing session. Where does he sing his songs then, you ask? In his auto-rickshaw of course. He parks it on the side of a road, and traffic jam or not, he turns on his charm to keep other dreamers and 9-to-5ers from giving up on, well, their dreams. Not surprisingly, a few videos of his live karaoke sessions have gone viral, and this latest one doesn't fail to impress either.
Who is the auto-rickshaw driver whose karaoke session on the road went viral?
A video of an auto-driver from Mumbai recently went viral for one of the best reasons: an impromptu karaoke session in the middle of the road. His name is Satyawan Gite and he's somewhat of a local legend who is often spotted driving and singing, mike in hand and his auto lit up with bright lights. In his most recent video shared three days ago on Instagram, he's seen singing the popular track 'Sandese Aate Hai' from the movie Border. Mike in hand and a speaker set up inside the vehicle, he belts out the lyrics in the now-viral clip that is receiving a lot of love online.
Since it's the middle of the day, it's not immediately apparent how well-decorated his little three-wheeler is. But
This isn't the first time his karaoke sesh in the middle of the road has gone viral
It was last year that comedian Samay Raina shared a video of him singing at a traffic signal in Andheri.
"Aisa laga hi nahi ki Andheri signal pe fasa hu. What a lovely guy! Watch till the end (I didn't even feel like I was stuck at Andheri signal. Watch till the end)," Raina captioned the video he shared on X on October 31, 2023.
In the clip, the auto driver tells Raina that the only reason he does these impromptu karaoke sessions is to kill boredom while stuck in traffic. He also gets to entertain other people so that's an added bonus.
Around the same time, music composer and singer Amit Trivedi caught up with him too somewhere in Bandra and posted the following video on Instagram.
"This gentleman, somewhere in Bandra turned his humble ride into a concert stage on wheels.. this filled my heart with so much joy!
It¡¯s moments like these that remind me that there¡¯s so much talent in our incredible country. I wish I had the opportunity to wait and have a chat with him.
Nonetheless, watching him really made my day and I hope it makes yours too," he wrote in the caption celebrating his talent.
