Translation: "Daddy. I'm your daddy. I love you. You're a beautiful girl. Your eyes are such a beautiful color, bright green! Just beautiful! What a cute smile! I love you. You're a cutie. That's a warm blanket. I love you. I love you. You're beautiful. Cute"

I think sign-language ASL.. is so beautiful . I grew up with two deaf cousins & learned to sign at an early age . When my son was diagnosed w/A & had no language by 4 I had taught him to sign .. his first word was he pointed to a book - signed the word and said BOOK ¡ª a good day

I remember that the consensus ~1980 was that newborns couldn't focus on anything for a few weeks or months or whatever. But I know what I saw when my daughter was 3 days old, giving me the side-eye. She was checking me out. (She still looks at me that way today, 39 years later). pic.twitter.com/pdNBlOAhNQ

I have a picture of hours-old me, on my side, wide-eyed and focused on a red apple in front of me.

It may be true that babies can't see details, but they try!
I mean, if everything around you is blurry and there's a big red circle in front of you, you're gonna check it out, no?

Love does not need sound. It is an embedded app, in our DNA, and needs no adapters, translators or API¡¯s... activated as needed!

He starts by saying he's her daddy (thumb to forehead), then calls her beautiful (fingers cascading in front of his face), then cute (pointer and middle finger to chin), in case anyone is interested
