Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, seen in the video, takes over from Admiral R Hari Kumar, who retired after superannuation. Tripathi graduated from Sainik School, Rewa, and the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla. Tripathi was the Vice Chief of Naval Staff before this. A Communication and Electronic Warfare Specialist, Tripathi has commanded warships like Veer-class corvette INS Vinash, Kora-class corvette INS Kirch, and INS Trishul.
