Although the famous saying says that blood is thicker than water, sometimes it is just a drop of water that saves your life. A recent viral video shows how strangers saved an unconscious man on a freeway in the US after noticing that something was awry with the driver.
Strangers picked up on the danger
The video started with the strangers finding a car on the road as it moved suspiciously slowly. People on the freeway picked up on the danger, approached the vehicle, and soon realised that the driver was unconscious. Putting two and two together, the people hurried to save the man.
Everyone brought their belongings to try to break the passenger seat glass as the car was locked from the inside. Many tried their hand at the glass with a skateboard, but a ray of hope shone when a guy brought out his hammer. The crowd advised the man in charge to break the car's rear window instead of the passenger one, since the shattering of the window could easily harm the unconscious civilian.

The group breathed a sigh of relief when the window was finally brought down and a man climbed into the car to unlock the doors. A concerned woman rushed to the driver¡¯s seat and flung open the car door to examine the man at the wheel, who was not unconscious anymore but looked disoriented.
On a closer look, the strangers predicted that the man had seemingly suffered a seizure while on the road and had been driving unconsciously since, as his foot was still placed on the exhilarator when he was found. The samaritans stayed with the man until medics arrived and handed in his phone to the officials. He was taken to the hospital and made a full recovery afterward, thanks to the kind people who helped him in the sticky situation.
After seeing the video, netizens praised the passersby who helped the man in need of medical attention. As a commenter wrote, "For people with conditions like epilepsy or seizures, this has to be one of their worst nightmares. Good on those folks for not giving up," while another added, "Man, that is heartwarming. Glad dude is ok."
The video also spawned many profound conversations about epilepsy and other ailments that can result in such a situation occurring. People also talked about the right way to break a car window in such times of need, while the usual dose of trolls gave their two cents on the conversation.
